It was reported earlier that Scarlett Johansson was in the driver's seat to portray Marilyn Monroe in the "My Week with Marilyn" film, directed by Simon Curtis.
Now, Production Weekly has learned that Johansson is out together with Kate Hudson and Amy Adams. The ball is in Michelle Williams's court (Brokeback Mountain) and Curtis is waiting for her to agree.
"My Week" will be based on the diary of Colin Clark, an employee of Laurence Olivier, who looked after Monroe when she came to London to film Olivier's "The Prince and the Showgirl" in 1957.
The movie is set to begin filming in June, 2010.
I am sad that Scarlett Johansson missed out on playing the leading role, this could be her big break into Oscardom. There could also be nude scenes involved and a lot of guys have missed out on seeing Scarlett Johansson's prized assets.
In short, this is a really bad casting call. But look on the bright side, maybe Scarlett Johansson can catch the next Marilyn Monroe film.
